Three-generation baryon and lepton number violation at the LHC    [PDF]

Gauthier Durieux, Jean-Marc Gérard, Fabio Maltoni, Christopher Smith
We observe that the flavor symmetries involving all three generations allow baryon (B) and lepton number (L) violation to take place at the TeV scale while satisfying all current low energy constraints. We first identify the model-independent classes of six-fermion-based processes that give rise to B and/or L violation but satisfy gauge and Lorentz symmetries. Among all the possible ones, we then consider the non-local fermionic channels leading to signals that are clearly identifiable at the LHC. Finally, through simplified models, we study two of them characterized by (\Delta B; \Delta L) = (\pm 1; \pm 3) and (\pm 2; 0) and giving particularly striking t \mu^+ e^+ and \bar{t} \bar{t} + jets signatures, respectively.
