Top Quark Asymmetries and Unparticle Physics    [PDF]

The measured forward-backward asymmetry ($A_{FB}$) in top quark pair production by the CDF and D0 collaborations has large inconsistency with the Standard Model prediction. We probe the parameters space of vector unparticle for finding an allowed region, which can explain the observed forward-backward asymmetry. In particular, we examine the necessary observables measured at the LHC and Tevatron to identify the regions in parameter space that can give top $A_{FB}$, the total $t\bar{t}$ cross sections and the charge asymmetry according to the LHC and Tevatron measurements. It is shown that the charge asymmetry is a powerful tool to probe the unparticle parameters space. We show that in spite of several models that proposed to explain the top $A_{FB}$, there exists a region in the unarticle parameters space where the top $A_{FB}$ and the LHC charge asymmetry are satisfied simultenously.
