Thermal leptogenesis in a TeV scale model for neutrino masses    [PDF]

Daijiro Suematsu
Radiative neutrino mass models which have right-handed neutrinos in TeV
regions are interesting candidates for a dark matter model. If sufficient
baryon number asymmetry is generated through thermal leptogenesis in these
models, CP asymmetry should be kept in suitable values by suppressing washout
processes for lepton number asymmetry. As such a possibility, we consider an
alternative scenario to the ordinary resonant leptogenesis. In this scenario
different type mass degeneracy is required to generate the appropriate baryon
number asymmetry. As long as we impose the model to induce the baryon number
asymmetry on the basis of thermal leptogenesis, it seems to be necessary to
find some new scenario to explain the relic abundance of dark matter.
